Chesapeake Culinary School & Fox Trucking Tour

Comptroller Franchot tastes some freshly baked cookies at the Chesapeake Culinary School in Denton. He returned to check out the progress that’s been made since he stopped by last year. This culinary gem is providing educational and training opportunities for local residents and truly is an asset to Denton and Caroline County.

Comptroller Peter Franchot presented a proclamation to Fox Trucking Inc. of Easton to recognize the business’ 63 years of operation and its service to the community. Owner Marjorie “Pete” Fox, standing next to the Comptroller, is the widow of the late Barry Fox, who founded the business and was well-know for his many charitable efforts. Mrs. Fox’s son Gary, center, is president, and Geoff, with the plain shirt in the second row, is vice president. Joining the Fox family are from left: long-time family friends, Glen and Gary Gannon, (in the second row), Easton Mayor Robert Willey, Mrs. Fox’s grandson, Cameron Edsall (in the second row) and Talbot County Clerk of the Circuit Court Mary Ann Shortall.
